March 26th: Studio Visit with Sarah Kitchen

Join us as we step inside the studio of Sarah Kitchen, where her newest body of work takes shape through a return to play, process, and a truer sense of self. Working in a studio she’s dreamed of for years—a space that reminds her of the mud room from her childhood home—Sarah reconnects with the freedom to explore, make a mess, and follow her curiosity. Much of this work began during a recent residency in the Texas Hill Country, where she had the rare chance to create without expectations. That openness led to spontaneous marks, unexpected materials, and small rituals that brought her back to the joy of making.

The pieces also hold the presence of her mother and sister, both artists, whose influence continues to echo through her practice. Motherhood naturally weaves into the work as well, shaping a creative rhythm that exists alongside the daily moments of raising children. This new collection reflects freedom, lineage, and the quiet space where imagination and memory meet—and we’re excited to share a glimpse inside.
