Wednesday, November 4th: A Private Preview of On Paper with Trois Crayons

Join us at Martha's the day before On Paper: Drawings from the Renaissance to the Modern Day opens to the public, for a private preview with Trois Crayons. Housed at 4115 Guadalupe Street, the exhibition is the final stop of the first international edition of the Trois Crayons Drawings Hub, which travels to Austin after Houston and Dallas Fort Worth, bringing master works on paper from new and returning dealers and galleries across the UK, Europe and the USA.

Trois Crayons sets out to refresh the market for drawings, breaking from the traditions of conventional art fairs. There are no gallery booths; every work is curated by the Trois Crayons team into a single selling exhibition, with drawings by artists such as Edgar Degas, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, J.M.W. Turner, Edward Burne-Jones, Henry Moore and Pablo Picasso. It is a rare chance to look closely at master drawings of this calibre in Austin, and to consider what makes a work on paper worth collecting. Join us Wednesday, November 4th, from 2 to 3 pm, for an intimate look at the exhibition before its public opening.
