February: Exploring Craft and Design at OMET
Join the Collective as we visit OMET, a design showroom dedicated to preserving traditional Latin American craftsmanship through contemporary design. Curated by Mexico City–based architect Lorena Vieyra, OMET—short for Ometéotl, the Aztec god of creation—brings together artisans and designers from across Mexico in a one-of-a-kind collaboration. The showroom showcases collectible furnishings made by hand with soul, using time-honored materials such as volcanic stone and shou sugi ban. Each piece reflects both heritage and innovation, celebrating the artistry, skill, and cultural narratives that define high-quality Mexican design.
