March 25th: University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center - Art Tour

Join Associate Vice President Dr. Jennifer Finkel and Curator Dr. Frank Spicer as they guide us through the artworks in MD Anderson’s newly opened Colorectal Cancer Clinic. A place where patients and families experience some of their most vulnerable moments, the art in this space is meant to offer quiet comfort, moments of reflection, and a sense of calm within the healthcare environment. As the first phase of MD Anderson’s Blueprint for Impact—a purposefully designed 10-year master facilities plan shaping the next era of cancer care and discovery—the clinic reflects a belief that art can gently support healing by creating spaces that feel more humane and deeply considered. Featuring works by local, national, and international artists across video, photography, painting, and works on paper, the clinic also offers a glimpse into the future vision of MD Anderson’s Art Experience program as the institution expands across Houston and beyond. This is a truly special opportunity, and we’re grateful for the chance to learn more about the thoughtfulness behind the artworks and the role they play in supporting patients, families, caregivers, and staff.
