March 25th: University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center - Art Tour
Join Associate Vice President Dr. Jennifer Finkel and Curator Dr. Frank Spicer for a tour of the artworks in MD Anderson’s newly opened Colorectal Cancer Clinic. This clinic marks the first phase of MD Anderson’s Blueprint for Impact—a purposefully designed 10-year master facilities plan that will shape the next era of cancer care and discovery. The plan includes the development of a world-class art collection and iconic architecture to create healing environments that prioritize the patient, caregiver, visitor and employee experience. The colorectal clinic features a diverse array of artworks by local, national, and international artists. A wide range of media—video, photography, paintings and works on paper— these works also provide an insight into the future vision for the hospital’s Art Experience program, which will develop as MD Anderson expands their facilities across the Houston region and beyond.
