September 18th: Curated Tour at Landmarks – UT Austin

Step into the heart of The University of Texas at Austin to explore Landmarks, the university’s renowned public art collection. Featuring over fifty works of modern and contemporary art across campus, these pieces inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and offer an accessible introduction to some of today’s most compelling artists. This guided visit will highlight the stories behind the works, revealing how public art can both engage and challenge us in everyday spaces.

We’ll begin with Landmarks, then continue to a special viewing of The Color Inside by James Turrell, where light itself becomes the medium. This immersive Skyspace offers a serene moment of pause amid the energy of campus life, and during our visit we’ll experience a programmed light sequence that transforms the sky above in subtle washes of color—an opportunity to reflect on how art in everyday environments can spark creativity, ease stress, and invite quiet reflection.
