June 4th: Blanton Museum Tour — American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection

Join the Collective for a curated visit to Blanton Museum of Art to experience American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection: From Edward Hopper to Alma Thomas. This exhibition brings together over 80 rarely seen works by defining figures of American art, including Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, Joan Mitchell, Jacob Lawrence, Ellsworth Kelly, and Alma Thomas. Spanning the late 19th century through the 1970s, the exhibition is organized into thematic sections that trace the evolution of American modernism—from early explorations of form to bold expressions of abstraction. Shared publicly for the first time, the collection reflects Charles Butt’s vision of American creativity and offers a rare opportunity to engage with works that have shaped the trajectory of modern art in the United States.
