April 15th: Curated Exhibition at UT Austin Fine Arts
On April 15th, Collective members will be visiting the University of Texas at Austin Fine Arts for a special exhibition curated by Phillip Townsend. Transcendence: A Century of Black Queer Ecstasy 1924‑2024 which explores 100 years of Black queer joy and expression through powerful artwork. Featuring a range of artists and styles, the exhibition highlights stories and perspectives that have often been left out of history. Through themes of joy and struggle, abundance and absence, independence and connection, these works offer a fresh perspective on identity and creativity.
